These library programs are designed for the library's tween readers in grades 4-6.

Tween and Teen Activity: Winter Slime
Thursday, January 23rd from 5:00pm - 7:00pm
**PROGRAM HAS BEEN FILLED TO CAPACITY**
Tweens and Teens come and unleash your creativity this winter at the library as you make your very own Winter Slime! Slime-making materials will be provided. This is a drop-in program so feel free to stop by the library at the time that is best for you to complete the craft! Please allow yourself plenty of time to complete the activity when you arrive. Please note that the South Park Library’s programs are designed with specific age limits in mind to align with the developmental skills and needs of each age group, ensuring an appropriate and engaging environment for all participants. This event is exclusively for tweens and teens aged 10 to 18.
Tween and Teen Take-Home Kit: DIY No-Sew Heart Pillow
Kits will be available beginning Saturday February 1st
Teens and Tweens are invited to the library to pick up a take-home craft kit to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Each take-home kit contains a treat bag and the materials needed to make a heart pillow using fleece. This easy project allows you to create the pillow by tying knots—no sewing required. These heart pillows are perfect for the upcoming holiday and can also serve as a cozy companion for reading! Kits will be available for pickup starting February 1st and can be collected throughout the month. Registration is required and will be open throughout February until all kits are reserved. "I Survived" Book Club for Tweens
Monday, February 3rd at 6:00pm
Calling all fans of the "I Survived" series! Tweens ages 10-12 are invited to join our I Survived Book Club. Join us on the first Monday of every month where we will delve into a different book from the series while enjoying snacks as well as crafts and activities based on the book selection! We will be reading "I Survived the San Francisco Earthquake, 1906" by Lauren Tarshis for our meeting. Join us as we discuss the book, watch fascinating historical footage of the aftermath, and participate in an exciting earthquake challenge using just toothpicks and marshmallows! All materials provided. Participants should read or listen to the book prior to the book club meeting. If you do not finish the entire book, you are still welcome to attend the event.
