These library programs are designed for the library's tween readers (ages 10-12).

Teen and Tween Take-Home Kit: Calming and Creating
Kits will be available beginning Saturday March 1st
Tweens and Teens are invited to the library to pick up a take-home Calming & Creating kit in celebration of World Teen Mental Wellness Day! Each kit includes a mini puzzle, a variety of fidget tools, a package of Duncan Hines Mega Cookie Double Chocolate Chunk Pan Cookie Mix, and a resource list. This kit provides engaging activities to support your mental health, enhance mindfulness, and foster creativity. It also offers information and resources to help connect you with various services and organizations that provide support for teens. Kits will be available for pickup starting March 1st and can be collected throughout the month. Registration is required and will be open throughout March until all kits are reserved. Pokémon Young Trainers: Tween Pokémon Club
Wednesday, March 26th at 6:00pm
Attention Pokémon Trainers! It's time to "catch 'em all" at our Tween Pokémon Club! Join us on the last Wednesday of every month to dive into the world of Pokémon. Chat with fellow enthusiasts, play games, enjoy snacks, and make new friends. Whether you bring your cards, games, or mobile device, or borrow one of our decks, there’s fun waiting for everyone! "I Survived" Book Club for Tweens
Monday, April 7th at 6:00pm
Calling all fans of the "I Survived" series! Tweens ages 10-12 are invited to join our I Survived Book Club. Join us on the first Monday of every month where we will delve into a different book from the series while enjoying snacks as well as crafts and activities based on the book selection! We will be reading "I Survived the Battle of D-Day, 1944" by Lauren Tarshis for our meeting. Join us for a discussion about the book, a DIY soldier craft, parachute-making using coffee filters, and a carrier pigeon racing game! All materials provided. Participants should read or listen to the book prior to the book club meeting. If you do not finish the entire book, you are still welcome to attend the event. Tween Brickmaster Lego Club
Thursday, April 17th at 6:00pm
Calling all Tweens (ages 10-12)! Join us for Tween Brickmasters, our Tween Lego Club where creativity meets fun! Each month, we’ll tackle a new building challenge, enjoy snacks, and let our imaginations run wild. This month’s theme is a LEGO Earth Day Challenge, where you'll create a model of your favorite animal or plant. LEGOS are provided, so just bring your creativity! This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other tween LEGO enthusiasts, make new friends, and have fun in a relaxed environment!

Tween & Teen Earth Day Craft: DIY Wind Chimes
Tuesday, April 22nd from 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Tweens and Teens are invited to celebrate Earth Day with us! Join us for a fun craft session where we'll create beautiful wind chimes using repurposed materials, including beads and clay planters! Unleash your imagination as you decorate your very own wind chime to take home and brighten up your space. All materials will be provided – just bring your creativity! This is a drop-in program so feel free to stop by the library at the time that is best for you to complete the craft!
