These library programs are designed for the library's tween readers in grades 4-6.

2024 TWEEN SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Tweens are invited to participate in this year's Tween Summer Reading Program from Wednesday, June 12th - Wednesday, August 7th! This summer tweens have a great opportunity to win exciting prizes by reading books from the library. All it takes is filling out a bingo card with the titles of the books you read or completing the tasks listed on the card. To participate, visit the library on or after June 12th to fill out a Tween Summer Reading Form and pick up your first bingo card. Visit the library and kick off your summer reading adventure! Tween Craft: Diamond Art
Wednesday, July 17th from 3:00pm - 7:00pm
Tweens in grades 4-6 are invited to a day of diamond painting to create insect and butterfly-themed diamond-coated canvases! Each participant will receive their own insect or butterfly-themed kit to work on. Come and create your own dazzling masterpiece! Tween Activity: Cupcake Wars
Wednesday, July 24th from 3:00pm - 7:00pm
Calling all cupcake artists! Tweens in grades 4-6 are invited to participate in our Tween Cupcake Wars competition and show off your decorating skills! During this competition, tweens will decorate cupcakes for a prize. The winners will be selected by library staff. All materials provided. Tween Activity: D.I.Y. Lava Lamps
Wednesday, July 31st from 3:00pm - 7:00pm
Jump back in time to create a lava lamp bottle! Tweens in grades 4-6 are invited to make their own lava lamp with food coloring, glitter, and Alka-Seltzer tablets. Join us at the library to make your own totally radical lava lamp. This is a drop-in program so feel free to stop by the library at the time that is best for you to complete the craft! Tween Activity: Bubble Party
Summer Wrap Up Event
Wednesday, August 7th from 3:00pm - 7:00pm
Join us for an end-of-the-summer event. Paint with bubbles and bubble wrap while you sip bubble tea! All materials provided. Dog Man Book Club for Tweens
Monday, August 12th at 6:00pm
Tweens in grades 4-6 are invited to join our Dog Man Book Club. Join us as we discuss the Dog Man series while enjoying snacks as well as crafts and activities based on the book series! We will be reading the ninth book in the series, "Dog Man: Grime and Punishment" for our meeting. Participants should read or listen to the book prior to the book club meeting. If you do not finish the entire book, you can still come to the event. Come by the front desk to get your copy of the book or feel free to bring your own!
