These library programs are designed for the library's teenage readers (ages 13-18).

Teen and Tween Take-Home Kit: Cinco de Mayo Cultural Craft
Pick Up Your Kit Beginning
Thursday, May 1st
Teens and Tweens are invited to the library to pick up a take-home craft kit in celebration of Cinco de Mayo!
Each kit includes a brief history of the holiday, a package of delicious Mexican Wedding Cookies, and all the materials you'll need to create your very own Huichol Yarn Painting. This vibrant art form is inspired by the sacred Nierikas of the Huichol people of Central Mexico.
Explore the rich culture and traditions of the Huichol people while discovering the symbolism behind their beautiful yarn paintings and the significance of Cinco de Mayo. Create your own masterpiece from the comfort of your home with this kit!
Kits will be available for pickup starting May 1st and can be collected throughout the month. Registration is required and will be open throughout May until all kits are reserved. Please register for a kit online here.
Please note that the South Park Library’s programs are designed with specific age limits in mind to align with the developmental skills and needs of each age group, ensuring an appropriate and engaging environment for all participants. These take-home kits are exclusively for tweens and teens aged 10 to 18.
Pokémon Club

Calling all teen Pokémon enthusiasts! Bring your cards, games, or mobile devices to our Pokémon Club, where you can battle with fellow fans, enjoy snacks, and make new friends. Teen Advisory Board: Volunteering @ Bailey's Cat Haven
Monday, May 12th at 5:00pm
During this session, members will spend time socializing with the cats, providing enrichment activities, and helping them build confidence as they prepare for their forever homes. After volunteering, TAB members are welcome to stay for our regular meeting at the library from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, where we'll continue our work with book displays, program planning, and Summer Reading prep!
Please meet at the library at the designated time, and we will walk to Bailey’s Cat Haven together.

Teen Advisory Board Meeting
Monday, May 12th at 6:00pm
Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join the library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) and make a meaningful impact in your community. At our upcoming meeting, we will work together to create our monthly book display, plan programs, and prepare for Summer Reading. As a member of TAB, you will have the chance to contribute to the library, earn valuable community service hours, and enjoy pizza. Share your ideas and help shape our library’s teen activities! Dungeons and Dragons Club for Teens

Tiefling Tea Party

Teens are invited to join the Tiefling Tea Party! This group provides a safe and welcoming space for teens to be their true authentic selves and to meet new teens in the area! Crafty Readers Club for Teens
Monday, May 19th at 6:00pm
Do you love crafts and reading? Join our new teen-driven book club, where stories come alive through art! Each participant will choose a favorite book, and together, we’ll create crafts inspired by those selections. This month, we will continue reading "Anne of Green Gables" by Lucy Maud Montgomery and complete our miniature hat creations using air-dry clay! Participants will have the opportunity to add finishing touches with paint, artificial flowers, and other accessories to make their designs uniquely their own! All materials provided. This club is all about creativity and art—no formal discussions here! Come to the library and transform your favorite stories into unforgettable art! Colorful Canvas Club

Teens, unleash your artistic potential and join us each month at the Colorful Canvas Club, where we explore a vibrant array of artistic mediums, from painting and collaging to clay sculpting and beyond! This is your chance to broaden your creative horizons while honing your skills in a supportive environment. This month, we’re diving into the world of mixed media collages! Experiment with layering textures and colors as we transform everyday materials such as newspapers, magazines, paint, artificial flowers, scrapbook paper, and more into stunning canvas creations. Teen After Hours: Game Night

Calling all teens! Join us for an exclusive after-hours game night at the library! Whether you enjoy video games, board games, or card games, we have something for everyone! Anime All-Stars

Attention all teen anime and manga enthusiasts! Join us for the Anime All-Stars Club! We meet monthly on the last Friday of the month, after hours at the library. This is your chance to indulge in all things anime and manga. Enjoy watching your favorite shows on the big screen, discussing the latest manga releases, and participating in fun, anime-themed crafts. This month, we are creating insect-themed diamond paintings that highlight the beauty of nature’s smallest creatures. Inspired by environments where humans and nature coexist, these designs bring insects to life in vibrant colors! All materials provided.
