About TAB
History
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) was created in 2023 to give teens a real voice at the South Park Township Library. Since then, members have shaped teen programs and clubs, designed displays in the Teen Area, and led meaningful community service projects throughout South Park.
Purpose
TAB is a teen‑led group where your ideas guide everything we do, from planning creative programs and designing displays to organizing service projects and driving community initiatives. Members grow through hands‑on experience, whether they’re exploring new ideas, contributing as creators, or mentoring as trailblazers.
Meeting attendance counts as volunteer hours, giving teens a chance to build leadership skills while making a real impact in the community.
TAB Leadership Pathways
TAB uses a three‑tier leadership model that celebrates growth and gives every member a chance to shine, whether you’re just getting started or ready to mentor others.
EXPLORER — Getting Started
New members learning, engaging, and discovering what TAB is all about.
CREATOR — Contributing
Active members shaping ideas, helping with displays, and volunteering at programs and projects.
TRAILBLAZER — Mentoring & Leading
