I'm Getting an Error Message When I Attempt to Login to my Online Catalog Account from the Library's Home Page with the Firefox Internet Browser.

On most Internet browsers, you will automatically login to your account when you type in your Library Card Number and PIN Number. Internet Explorer, Safari, and Google Chrome are the Internet browsers that work without any problems. However, if you are using the Firefox browser you may experience some trouble logging in. If you use Firefox, you may see a screen like the one pictured above that says The Connection is Untrusted. If you see this screen, you can still get into your account. Before you do anything it should be noted that this method is perfectly safe to perform.

First and foremost, ignore the button that says "Get Me Out of Here!" Move down and left-click on where it says I Understand the Risks, you should see a button that will say "Add Exception." Left-click on the Add Exception button and this will open up an Add Security Exception Window.

In the Add Security Exception Window, that you see to your left, you can override the Firefox security feature.

You will need to do two things in this window. First, make sure the check mark box below that says "Permanently Store this Exception" has a green checkmark inside it. If it isn't checked off just left-click it once.

Finally, left-click on the "Confirm Security Exception" Button that you see down below.

Once you click on this button, the browser will refresh itself and your Online Account should now open up for you.

If you tried one or more of these solutions and you are still having trouble with logging onto your account, please contact the library at (412) 833-5585
