CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

South Park Township Public Library offers on-going recreational and educational clubs for people of all ages!



South Park Township Library "Book Lust" Club

(Only Adults!)

The Book Club discusses mostly fiction but occasionally nonfiction on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. Dessert and tea are served.

 

Knitting Club
(Teens and Adults)

Meets 2 Saturdays a month from September through May at 11:00 am. Janie Ruperto from the Knit Shoppe in Canonsburg is here to share her knitting expertise. All skill levels are welcome. Tea and pastries will be served.


South Park Jewelry Designer Group
(Teens and Adults)

The Beading group meets monthly to make a new and original project. The class is free; however, you will be purchasing the semi-precious stone beads that you use. The cost is approximately $15-$20.



Scrapbooking with Tami
(Teens and Adults - All Skill Levels Welcome!)

Scrapbooking with Tami held the 4th Thursday of the month from September to May. Bring pictures, stickers and paper. Snacks will be served.
We have access to a Xyron Sticker Machine, Ultimate Embossing System, spacious tables, a colored printer, cutters, computers to pull graphics, and magazines.





The Legos Club (All Ages)

Stop by the library and build something creative with Legos. Each session will have a different Lego Theme.

Webkinz Club

Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30 PM!

School Age Kids can bring their favorite Webkinz stuffed animal to the South Park Library for games, crafts, and tons of fun! REGISTRATION REQUESTED!

Mad Scientist Club
Thursdays at 6:30 PM
Students in grades 2 - 5 are invited to become a mad scientist for the evening! We will read a short, creepy story. Check out the "If You Dare Box," and then do a mad scientist experiment or craft. In October, we will look at diffusion and solvents by decorating our lab coats. So bring a clean, oversized white T-shirt for this experiment! REGISTRATION REQUESTED!

Cinderella Club
Thursdays at 6:30 PM
Did you know that the Cinderella story occurs in many cultures throughout the world? Girls in grades 1- 4 are invited to join this special club and explore the world through Cinderella. We will read a different story and explore that culture at each meeting. There will also be crafts and snacks available! REGISTRATION REQUESTED!
